ABOUT US

Frog Hollow Garden Center is a locally owned and family operated business established in 2003.  We started out growing annuals and opened as a seasonal retail business with a small tent in the parking lot of Tower Lane Mall.  We added containers, hanging baskets, trees, shrubs and locally grown perennials to our inventory the following year.   Demand for our locally grown product meant we soon outgrew our tent.  In May 2006 we opened at our current location on East Lake Ramp as a year round Garden Center; expanding to include a Gift Shop and Cafe. 

We still grow our own annuals at the farm a few kilometers west of Airdrie.  We also plant our containers and hanging baskets with Proven Winners and Simply Beautiful plants grown from rooted cuttings at the farm. The majority of our perennials come from Southern Alberta growers, while the trees and shrubs are grown in British Columbia, Manitoba and Southern Alberta.  We strive to obtain as much plant material as possible from local growers, to ensure our plants are hardy.  We pride ourselves on the quality of our product to ensure you receive the best nurtured plants possible.

Our friendly garden center staff have many years experience of gardening in our tough Alberta climate, and are more than willing to share their knowledge with others. As gardening is a continuous learning experience we strive to keep our staff up to date on the latest developments in Alberta's horticulture.  We also have a Master Gardener on staff to help with all your gardening concerns.
